Is Mercedes Roadside Assistance Free?

If you’re thinking of purchasing a Mercedes, it’s good to know whether or not Roadside Assistance is free. With other car manufacturers, this won’t come as standard – but you’ll be happy to know that Mercedes Roadside Assistance is indeed for free for 3 years if you have just bought a new Mercedes and 1 year if you’ve bought an approved used Mercedes-Benz.

If the Mercedes you’re looking to buy was manufactured from 2018 onwards, you’ll also be able to access Mercedes ME Connect. This state-of-the-art technology means that you can share information about your car with either the Mercedes-Benz Retailer or the Customer Assistance Centre in real-time. Whether you need assistance with accident recovery, vehicle diagnostics or something else, this incredible technology will prove to be invaluable in the long term.

But those aren’t the only benefits that come with ConnectME. It also includes:

  • An Emergency Call System: if the airbags are deployed, built-in crash sensors will send the information to the system and call the Mercedes-Benz Emergency Response Centre. Passing on the number of passengers, the condition of your vehicle and your precise location, this leading technology is simply mind-blowing.
  • Remote online services.
  • Concierge Services.

If you’re purchasing a new or approved-used Mercedes, Roadside Assistance will include:

  • A qualified technician that will come out and fix the issue at the roadside – saving you time and money.
  • Car recovery from your home or the nearest Mercedes-Benz Retailer.
  • Cover across the UK and Europe.
  • Technical breakdown – to find out more about this, get in contact with Sinclair Mercedes today.
  • If you have a puncture, run out of petrol on your journey or lose your keys.
  • Assistance in an accident: they will pick up your car and transport it to either your home or to a nearby Mercedes-Benz Retailer.
  • If your car has been vandalised or stolen, they can provide you with a courtesy car for three days.
  • Particular incidental costs – e.g. onward travel (although this should be discussed with the Customer Assistance Centre.
  • A complimentary Visual Health Check before your car is cleared for travel.

This level of cover is available for cars which have been registered in 1998 and will be automatically renewed every year free of charge. Keep in mind, however, that cars that have been registered between 1998 and 2008 are only eligible for technical breakdown.
