Our Favourite Classic Mercedes Models
Mercedes are heralded as one of the most popular and well respected brands of the modern day. Bringing us countless classic cars over the years such as the 300 SL, that was debuted all the way back in 1954 as a production car. Although Mercedes did produce a lot of well-known classic cars, there are some that may have been overlooked! Here's a list of our top 3 picks!
The first of the elite Mercedes models, the S-Class. The first edition S-Class was first introduced in 1972 and was quickly recognised as one of the best sedan cars in terms of price and practicality on the market at that time! Over the years it has been subject to a lot of praise, including being ranked as the best-selling luxury sedan. The S-Class was actually the first Mercedes car to contain the seatbelt pretensioners! This is why we've placed the S-Class amongst our favourite Mercedes classics.
Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Coupé
Next on the list is the legendary Mercedes-Benz 300 SL. Renowned for it's distinctive gullwing doors, the 300 SL Coupé is everything you'd expect with a classic car. On first release in 1952, the 300 SL Coupé was exclusively a racing car, but was later released in 1954 as a production car, quickly founding it's way into the Mercedes Hall Of Fame. It's vintage aethstetic and classic style has secured it's position in our top picks!
The Mercedes A-Class
For the final spot on the list, the A-Class takes it for us! It's unique styling and practicality whether it be for a family or just personal use, the A-Class satisfies all! It was first released in 1997 making it a lot more recent than the other cars on our list, however it is still an absolute classic in the Mercedes range. Referred to by many Mercedes fans as 'Baby Benz', it felt wrong to not include the peoples favourite Mercedes car!
